Big Changes Ahead for the PMMC!
Recently, our office made the executive decision to change our name to the Financial Wellness Center. We believe that financial wellness plays a critical role in life. We want to ensure that our students, staff, and faculty have a well-balanced financial lifestyle.
Here is a message from our director, Ann House, and Graduate Assistant, Viri Najera:
“Financial wellness involves learning how to successfully manage money. It involves more than knowledge and skills. Financial wellness incorporates attitudes, habits, and behaviors that will last a lifetime for financial success. The Personal Money Management Center would like to move beyond the idea that we exist only for budgeting or a quick fix. Through counseling, coaching, and peer mentoring, we assist students implement strategies which may help to decrease financial stress, anxiety and stay in school. We believe our name change better reflects our mission to improve the financial well-being of students and staff.”
At the Financial Wellness Center, we provide support to students, staff, and faculty with an array of topics, including:
